Smoking Areas
Glasgow Airport is a very special environment indeed, an environment through which a vast number of travellers pass, an environment in constant use 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. With so many people passing through, it is important that it is kept as safe, clean and comfortable as possible - and that means allocating clean air space to non-smokers.
But we do not want to deny smokers their comfort either - that is why we have allocated smoking to specific designated areas beyond security search on all three piers.
We would ask you to extinguish your cigarette before entering the building, and refrain from smoking until you enter a designated area (in catering outlets or on the departures piers). Alternatively, any member of our staff will be only too willing to direct you to a smoking area.
Airport Chapel
The non-denominational airport chapel on the second floor provides a quiet, restful place for passengers of all denominations.
The chapel is open continuously for the benefit of all who wish to exercise the disciplines of a religion or who would wish merely to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
The airport chaplain, Rev Peter Houston, conducts services at various times and days of the week and these are announced on the terminal PA system.
The chaplain is available to all who use the airport. Let him know by leaving your name, telephone number or address at the Information Desk on the first floor, where it will be kept in confidence and passed to him.
To contact the airport chaplain, telephone +44 (0)141 848 4129 or fax +44 (0)141 848 4137. His UK mobile telephone number is 0370 390936.
